Reunion Holiday

Posted by hardyberlin on 3rd October 2005

When I woke up this morning the first think I saw was Jovy’s picture on my table(like always), she always gives me a smile and a warm feeling in my heart. Then I decided to get up and made myself a big mug of strong coffee with sugar(coffee has to be strong as an elephant, black like the night and as sweet as love, then it’s right). While drinking it I watched a TV reportage about the Berlin Wall, today is the reunion holiday, it was interesting but most of the things they showed I’ve already known, cause I was here. I was a little kid before they build it, I saw how they did it, and I still can’t get the picture of the old woman out off my mind which jumped out of the window to escape from the Communists, cause I’ve seen it by myself. It was horrible to see that. I’ll think I will never forget it, it’s like burned in my brain. I also will never forget President John F. Kennedy’s speech at the Schoeneberg City-Hall, when he said "Every free man of the world is a citizen of Berlin, and so I’m proud to say: Ich bin ein Berliner".

Well, while I was drinking my coffee, suddenly a sms came on my mobile phone, and it was from Jovy. So I jumped to my PC and switched it on, so we could chat for a while. So I still had a wonderful morning today. That bit of work I had to do later on was nothing, cause I know she’ll be with me in her thoughts.
