Think about it

Posted by hardyberlin on 7th December 2006

Under the title science vs superstition a collection of essays got published by Policy Exchange yesterday. I have to tell you about it, because, in my eyes, everybody should read it with an open mind and than thing about it very closely. It’s from the think tank where Oliver Mark Hartwich from the Antibuerokratieteam is working for. You also can load down a pdf-Version of the book  from the  Homepage of Policy Exchange. Here you can read what Professor Raymon Tallis thinks about it:

science vs superstition - the case for a new scientific enlightenment

“This is a brilliant expose of the misanthropy, irrationality, and innumeracy that characterises much of current debate on issues such as GM crops, vivisection, the regulation of science, and the appropriate response to global warming. It shows how suspicion of science – humankind’s greatest collective achievement – is rooted in human self-hatred. What the book lacks in length, it makes up for in importance.”

Professor Raymond Tallis, Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences

Edited by James Panton and Oliver Marc Hartwich, Policy Exchange and University of Buckingham Press, London and Buckingham 2006, ISBN 0-9551909-8-3
