Well, it’s Carneval again, and after some Business on Saturday I had enough time to enjoy it at the "Berliner Bier Academy". It was really a very nice party, everyone was dressed up in a fancy costume(I was coming as a doctor), the only bad thing was that I forgot to take my camera with me. I only can hope that the "Darth Vader" who came with his wife, dressed up as "Princess Amidala", has made a few good pictures which I can put in the album here.
And than, on Sunday there was the big Parade at the Kurfuerstendamm, this year over 1,2 Million. people joined it, and, for that kind of people which where to lazy to go there(or had a hang-over) they also showed it live on TV. And today, of course, the "Rosenmontags Parades" in Mainz, Cologne and Duesseldorf.
So everything was nice during the last days, and so I thought that this, that in British prisons are toilets build specially for Muslims(a friend told me about that), was just a stupid joke. But it wasn’t a joke, it’s the truth. They rebuild the toilets so Muslim inmates don’t have to use them while facing Mecca and are spending the tax-payers money for it. If you don’t believe it you can read it in the "The Sun" . Well, I guess, if they wouldn’t have committed crimes, they wouldn’t be in there. I think you know what I mean.

Happy Valentines Day for everyone. Do you wanna know what nice thing happened today at the Philippines? There a priest was holding a big wedding ceremony on the beach where 100 couples got married. I found it really sweet and romantic when I heard about it at the news. But do you know what happens today in Japan? There it’s totally different! There all man are getting chocolate from the woman, not only the husbands or beloved ones, no, even the bosses and co-workers gets it. But, like everything in Japan, it’s a bit more complicated, cause there will be a little difference. It gives the cheap giri choco and the expensive honmei choco. "Giri" is an old word from the samurai codex and stands for duty and obligation, while the word "Honmei" stands for true love. And exactly one month later, on the "White Day", the 14th of march, the man will have to give white chocolate(or even something better) to the woman. Nice right?
But now to something which made me angry a few days ago. Everyone knows YouTube and some of us are using it. But now there seems to be censorship, or should I say Islamic censorship? They toke away Nick Gisburnes clips and closed his account. Why? Well, he put up a clip of Koran quotes, which showed the intolerance and violence of the teachings in it. And YouTube means that this is inappropriate. Well, he did the same with the bible before, that was okay for them. Eugene Volokh wrote a very interesting article about it, where you also can find a link to the clip, cause someone else republished it as a protest. I guess everyone should read it, and, because YouTube is owned by Google, also should think about it when he is using Google next time. If there will be a next time. It gives other search engines, and if Google behaves like this….

A great man would have got 96 years old today. One of the best presidents the United States of America ever had - Ronald Reagan. I still remember his speech, held at the Brandenburg Gate 1987.
General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate.
Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate.
Mr. Gorbachev — Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!
He was right, like he was with so many things. It even didn’t took two and a half years and the wall came down, and a better time for Eastern Europa started. And for the Soviet Union, too. A very good one of him, "A Time for Choosing", better known as "The Speech", is today even more actual than ever.
