THEY ARE FREE!

Posted by hardyberlin on 4th April 2007

If the news are right, the British soldiers are set free and already in the British embassy in Teheran. So lets hope, that this is finally the end of this hostage crisis. During a speech today, which lasted about 45 minutes, the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinedschad said, that he will let them go directly after he finished his speech. And at about 22:00 hrs European time they where delivered to the embassy. Well, thank God, cause nobody knows, or better lets say want to know, what could have been happen otherwise.

Update: Is Kenneth R.Timmerman, a well known Iran specialist with many contacts there right with his article: "USS Nimitz forced Iran’s decision", or did eventually some less radical Mullahs pressed Ahmadinedschad to let them go?

Dad again

Posted by hardyberlin on 2nd April 2007

Like I told you on the 22nd of March, Dad is back into the hospital again. This morning, when my Mom wanted to visit him, she found him in his room and all the doctors where around him. He got it’s medicines again over infusions into both arms, because his stomach made problems now(as if his heart, kidneys, diabetes, MRSA and his feet would not be enough). They told her to come back in the afternoon.
Well, when she came back and wanted to put on the protection clothes, she was told, that he had to be moved into intensive care again, cause he was spitting blood. And even there she couldn’t get in at this time, because the docs where still examining him. So we will have to wait and call the hospital later to find out whats wrong and what we can do.

FREE THEM NOW! Update

Posted by hardyberlin on 2nd April 2007

Once, a long time ago, there was a great man who spoke: "All free man, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words: Ich bin ein Berliner!" It was John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States of America, 1963 at the Schoenberg City Hall, Berlin.
