Boycott Durban 2

Posted by hardyberlin on April 20, 2009

The High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mrs. Navi Pillay, expressed her disappointment that the United States and some other countries boycott Durban 2. Well, sometimes, in silent hours, I’m wondering for what this UN should be still good. It seems to me, that it is only a speech club of supertolerant, halfblind idiots which want to ignore the truth.
That the last so called anti-racism conference ended with a scandal and why is probably familiar to anyone, and that this one will be again only U.S. and Israel bashing, this is totally clear also. You only have to take a look who will hold a speech there: Ahmadinejad.
Are the men and women of the UNHCR really so unrealistic or do they only want to creep certain groups up
their ass?
Each state, which wants to become a UN member, has to accept the Declaration of Human Rights, and has a duty to ensure that they are respected on its territory.
But this is ignored by the Islamic states of the OIC. These states have made up their own statement, in which the main points of the human rights declaration, such as equal rights, freedom of expression, freedom of religious choice, free choice of partner are totally ignored.
All rights therein are subordinate to the Sharia law (Art.24 and 25). This means also, that the Articles 2,7,12,16,19,22 and 23 of the UDHR are invalidated for Muslims.
Also non-Muslims and even Muslim women do not have the same rights as Muslim men. Similarly, Article 10 prohibits the conversion of Muslims (which is threatened with the death penalty in the Islamic states), as well as freedom of expression is excluded unless it complies with Sharia. Well, all of this nice countries will be at this conference.
And Ms. Pillay regrets the absence of some countries at this conference? Well, what the hell should they do there please, at a conference which is exactly the opposite of it’s name, and where freedom of expression is restricted? NO, THANKS!!
